Hernando Home Has Cleaner Indoor Air Than Outdoor Air

“Let’s go inside and get some fresh air!”

gerry-gagliardi-at-home-showEven though IQAir promises 10 times cleaner indoor air than the air your home had previous to the installation of the Perfect 16, IQAir isn’t satisfied with measuring improvements in air quality based on measuring a home’s indoor air pollution level alone, but by comparing that level to the air pollution outdoors as well.

That’s right! Unbelievable as it may sound, aside from promising indoor air that’s 10 times cleaner than it was before installation, IQAir wants your indoor air to be FOUR TIMES cleaner than the outside air as well!

IQAir considers good indoor air quality to be air that is four times cleaner than the air outside, or contain just 25% of the particle pollution as the air outdoors.

Think about that. IQAir wants you to be able to say “Let’s go inside and get some fresh air!” …and have that be some of perhaps the freshest air you’ve ever breathed anywhere!

The Case of Mr. Kooi and the IQAir Perfect 16:

On Feb 4th 2015 Mr. Gary Kooi of Hernando County Fl had an IQAir Perfect 16 2530 Series whole home air purification system installed in his home by Back to New Heating & Cooling of Homosassa headquartered in Citrus County.

Now, understand that in many homes the air indoors is up to 70 times as polluted as the air outdoors, and IQAir already guarantees at least ten times cleaner indoor air than was previously in the home with the original air purification filtration system. That’s a given. But what’s not an obvious given is that there’s any kind of a comparison or concern by IQAir about the purity of your indoor air as compared to the air OUTDOORS. Why would any indoor air purification company even bother trying to out clean the clean air outdoors? IQAir does.

On April 17th 2015 Sales of Back to New Heating & Cooling tested Mr. Kooi’s P16 and here are the meter results. (see also actual Kooi Scan Results.PDF here)

The indoor readings of Mr. Kooi’s home prior to installation were, going room to room with Mr. Kooi to witness, as follows:

  1. Kitchen: 262,000 particulates per million
  2. Living Room: 250,000 particulates per million
  3. Florida Room: 261,000 particulates per million
  4. Master Bedrooom: 250,000 particulates per million
  5. Guest Bedroom One: 295,000 particulates per million
  6. Guest Bedroom Two: 206,000 particulates per million

When added together (total 1,524,000) and divided by the number of rooms (total 6) the average indoor particle count is 254,000 per room.

IQAir considers good indoor air quality to be air that is four times cleaner than the air outside, or contain just 25% of the particle pollution as the air outdoors.

In the Kooi Home:

For the Kooi’s, the outdoor air particle average is 1,600,000, and the home indoor air particle average is 254,000. This means that the air indoors contains just 16% of the number of particles as the air outdoors, and, as stated, it is already at least ten times cleaner than the air previously inside the Kooi home prior to the installation of the Perfect 16 in February of 2015.

Congratulations Mr. Kooi on breathing some of the cleanest indoor air in the State of Florida and the world!
